Green Ports (Hamburg) GmbH is part of the international group of HEC Europe Ltd., headquartered in Cyprus. The group operates as a port reception facilities provider and is one of the largest companies world-wide in the field of ship-generated oily waste management.
Green Ports (Hamburg) GmbH is based at the Hamburg port and leading in the field of collection, transportation, cleaning, treatment and disposal of ship-generated waste management as well as oil recycling. Furthermore, we provide extensive consulting services in this field. We are recruiting the following position to support our team in Hamburg-Harburg as soon as possible:

1. Specialist for wastewater engineering (m / f)
 


Alternative professions: Specialist for circulatory and waste management, chemical technician, or equivalent.

Your responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and operation of the waste water treatment plants
  • Elimination of malfunctions
  • Determination of operating data and operating parameters
  • Sampling and analysis of waste water and sludge samples
  • Documentation and analysis of operational data
  • Maintenance, servicing and monitoring of the systems engineering (mechanical and measuring devices)
  • Maintenance and cleaning of the waste water treatment plant, as clarifiers, pipelines and machinery

Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed training as a specialist for wastewater engineering, circulatory and waste management, chemical technician  (m / f) or equivalent  
  • Job experience is a plus
  • Good knowledge of German is required, other languages are  an advantage
  • You are service oriented, communicative, strong commitment and you work style is responsible
  • You have good technical skills and you are physically fit
  • Basic IT and Electric skills are a plus
  • Willingness to work in shifts and take part in call on duties, as well as on weekends and on public holidays is required
  • You are team-minded
  • Ideally you hold a driving license category B; category C1 is an advantage

2. Receptionist (f/m/d) in part time (30 hrs./week)

Your tasks:
  • Handling all reception duties e.g. incoming telephone calls, meeting room bookings
  • Guest reception (national and international visitors)
  • Mail processing
  • Creation of outgoing invoices
  • Contract data maintenance
  • Ordering office supplies and beverages
  • Maintenance and processing of fuel cards and receipts
  • Other administrative activities

Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship, an apprenticeship as a hotel clerk or another comparable qualification.
  • Understanding of commercial interrelationships and basic business knowledge
  • Knowledge of Navision would be an advantage
  • Organisational talent and pleasure in dealing with suppliers, customers and visitors
  • Very good user knowledge in MS Office
  • You have an independent, careful and reliable way of working
  • You also have a good command of English
  • Knowledge of the Greek language is an advantage, but not a condition

3. Truck Driver (f/m/d)


Your Profil:
  • Driving license for categories CE (Key no. 95)
  • Ownership of an ADR certificate and the motorist modules is an advantage
  • Ideally Job experience, but we also train on the job
  • Good knowledge of German. English or Greek is an advantage
  • Technical skills and/or  experience in waste management are advantageous
  • Willingness to work shifts, on call at weekends and on public holidays
  • Teamplayer, service oriented,  highly committed and responsible

4. Deckhand (m/f/d) 

What we expect:
  • Ideally an apprenticeship as an inland waterway skipper or alternatively as a port skipper
  • service-oriented and communicative
  • high commitment, independent and self-reliant working style
  • manual dexterity
  • Willingness to work overtime as well as weekends and holidays
  • physically fit and resilient
  • technical understanding 
  • good knowledge of English (Greek would be an advantage) 
  • Independent operation 
  • Port science an advantage, but not a "must"

The work takes place on our ships, exclusively in the port of Hamburg.
